An Illustrated Guide To The Best Indoor Plants For The Home

I've been trying to feel my room up with lots more houseplants recently. Not only because plants are pretty and look nice, but because they are easy to look after and most importantly purify the air of certain toxins. I've always suffered with a stuffy nose and allergens so I wanted to see and research if keeping plants in my room would help with this! Here are 6 of the best plants rated out of five stars on how good they are when it comes to air quality, toxins and how easy they are to look after.

Dracaena Plant  3.5/5*

There are many different varieties of the Dracaena plant that also filter indoor air. They are non toxic for children but unfortunately it's not the friendliest plants when it comes to your furry companions. That is why I've rated it 3.5/5 stars. It clears toxins such as Benzene, Formaldehyde, Xylene and trichlorethylene which can be very harmful to the body and be caused by chemicals, etc.

Spider Plant  4/5*

The spider plant is probably one of the most easiest indoor plant to grow and look after. Filters indoor air and in non toxic. It loves indirect sunlight and loves bright rooms. Removes pollutants such as  Formaldehyde and Xylene.

Bamboo Palm Plant 5/5*

The bamboo plant likes lots of light and if perfect for your furry friends and little ones. One of the best things about this plant is than can grow very tall meaning it can filter much more air! It removes nasty pollutants such as  Benzene, Formaldehyde, Xylene and trichlorethylene

Aloe Vera  4.5/5*

The aloe Vera plant not only removes pollutants such as Formaldehyde but also has a fluid inside the leaves that can help with anti inflammatory and healing properties! Just make sure to drain the plant as it doesn't like to sit in water.

Succulents 3/5*

Succulents are very easy to care for. Although because they are small they don't purify the air as much as other plants which is why I've rated it 3/5. But succulents are great as indoor plants and look super cute!

Snake Plant 5/5*

The snake plant is a very easy plant to grow! It removes many pollutants such as Benzene, Formaldehyde, Xylene and Trichlorethylene and loves to be kept drier conditions near sunlight. So it's perfect for your indoor jungle!

So basically I'm now going to feel my room full of plants until it becomes an urban jungle full of filtered and fresh purified air. Thanks for reading and I hope you've enjoyed my illustrations! It's kind of magic how plants can do these things! All these plants are great for your home but it looks likes the bamboo plant and the snake plant have come out on top! See you soon.
